FYP subject

i've decided to do on the storybook idea,
turning story into visuals,

and after that simple request
(visualise that my idea is on the north pole and the request stands at
the south)
i spend a week at many different bookstores.

kino, mph, times, borders.
and, nothing much interest me unlike those that's writen by our 'ang
mo' friend.

sometimes i wonder if culture is really that important,
for i relate to english way better than say, CHINESE (china), MALAY
(malaysia) TAMIL (india) and neither can i understand
JAPANESE, VIETMANESE, BURMESE, LAOES, THAI, CAMBODIAN, and all the
language that surrounds me.

and if i were to 'visualise' something out of that,
that would be totally way out of point.

and the thing that shapes me most, the education system in singapore,
is a replica of the angmo educational system.
with just one speech, our dear LKY switched everything from MALAY to
ENGLISH way before i was born.

i can hardly relate to those books writen in the east.
the best that i could think of is SUN WU KONG.
haha

(can't be russel lee what right)
agree?

.

anyway so for a start,
since the project is gonna be dead serious,
i guess i better be dead serious too.

i'm gonna have my starting point, as SINGAPORE.
SINGAPORE history.

i saw this book, that writes about singapore only during the japanese
occupation, its kinda interesting.
but i'm just gonna do SINGAPORE HISTORY, based on those history books,

would that make it kind of interesting?
it bothers me that history always show historical pictures and never
something that someone at a young age would relate it to.
turn it into a game, maybe they could remember their subject better.

(this is influenced by this lorry driver from china i happen to meet,
who told me about how Japan is actually just 500 boys and 500 girls
from china, at the request from one official who disagree with the
emperor during some period of their history, and have this 1000 pple
migrated there.)

.

theres this another book about chinese cultural,
about feet binding and sam sui woman,
what makes a person beautiful is their small feet.
some smaller than our palms.

and the third book is on japanese,
Japanese and geisha

but this topic is way off for me, its just an interest.

.

so the strongest still stands at the singapore.
having SINGAPORE as a starting point.

hows about it?
